Hey Bethany!

My goodness, it’s been a while since we last chatted! But I have a great reason. Well, a few great reasons. In fact, I recorded a big ol’ podcast episode about it here. 🎧🎙 So feel free to listen! 

But for those who may not have the time this moment, well, let me just dive in. 

The last few weeks/months I took a deliberate step back from basically everything. Besides work I was already in the middle of, I didn’t launch anything, I didn’t accept new clients, I didn’t even really post anything except some funny reels I made. OMG, they’re hilarious. Check em’ out.

Anyway, I squirreled down HARD. You could call it the culmination of an almost year’s long journey into asking myself some Big Questons - capital B, capital Q. Who I am, what do I want, how do I want to show up in the world, and how do I want to spend my time and energy. I did lots of thinking, praying, scribbling things down and talking to friends. I thought about it again and again. And again. 

And then about a week ago, I finally locked in on so many decisions and now I’m here.

So, here’s the end result:

1. End of an Era:

As of December 1, 2025, I am shutting down the 1:1 editing branch of my business completely. I don’t now for how long but it’s going to be at least for the next few years. Honestly, I’m not sure if I’ll open it again. I go into more detail in the podcast but yeah, it’s definitely the end of an era. I’m emotional about it, I’m already feeling FOMO, but I know that it’s the right decision.

HOWEVER, you know that I can’t just shut it off cold turkey! So that’s why I’m having one. Last. Dance. From now until June 15 (or whenever the items are all sold) you can work with me on your story or query or submission package! So check out the big Summer Sale and book your services before I shut them down for good.

 Truly, I’m so grateful to everyone I’ve worked with over the years. You made me a better HUMAN, not just a better editor. There aren’t enough words to thank you. Your generosity of time, spirit, energy and creativity, your faith in me…it enabled me to do dream work. Thank you thank thank you. A million times….THANK YOU. ❤️

2. The New Thing!

Now, with the retirement of my editorial services, it’s opened a space that I’m so, so excited about! And that’s a brand new mentorship! It’s all about traction and momentum and revitalizing your creative process - from how you do it to when you do it to why you do it.

And finally, I've got a bunch of new and exciting things coming up in the next few months! A new membership! A non-fiction book! A writing and editing course! A pen name that is finally being released lol. 

Basically, in my little squirrel down, I realized that I just need to be in the joy. Be in the stuff that really lights me up. And this mentorship, the new stuff I'm creating for you guys, it lights me up. 

So I hope you come with me on this new journey I'm taking, one that's bigger and bolder than before. 

And I hope that whenever you can, you too choose real joy, real alignment and authenticity, and doing what makes you happy. ❤️
