The Story Test
Does your idea sink or swim?
You've had the dreams. You've done the work. You've listened to the music and thought over and over and now you have a story idea! Woo-hoo, that's awesome!
BUT...is it good enough?
It's one of theĀ most important decision.Ā What story should I write?Ā Ā You want to make sure you pick the right one, something strong and solid so then you don't spend the next year writing only to get rejections or no one buying because they're "bored" or "not connecting" or just simply don't care what happens next.Ā
Ouch. It's harsh but it's true. Readers want to be invested ASAP and if you're book doesn't do that? They're putting it down.
So, how do you know if the story idea you have is even good enough to turn into a great story?
X balance. using my x balance method to help you determine it.Ā
all character. all plot. all vibes. and then allĀ
